I hope you have enjoyed the sermons on our vision and values over the past few weeks. It's been a joy to share together the things that we see God doing in our church and the things we hear you all saying about who we are.
We have updated the website with our vision and values, and if you haven't had a chance yet to see the changes, I encourage you to check it out. The Our Values page now includes all of the value statements along with the corresponding prayers and scriptures. And the Our Name page includes an essay by Jay about our name and the accompanying images that make up our name.
This Sunday we will conclude our series by talking about the value of hospitality. I hope to see you at the service and after the service at BYOBB as we celebrate the one year anniversary of officially being St. Bart’s!
Hospitality
God has welcomed us and called us to himself, so we invite the people of East Dallas to connect with God and with his people.
“Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on
the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within
the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit
that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those
who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for
the honor of your Name. Amen.”
“Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.” Romans 12:13
